J’avais oublié comme ce film était beau. Une histoire d’amour d’un fils envers sa mère. Un fils qui cache à sa mère malade, fervente camarade socialiste, la chute du Mur du Berlin et la réunification de l’Allemagne. Avec l’aide de sa famille et de ses amis, il recrée autour d’elle le décor et la vie de l’ancienne RDA, qu’elle affectionnait tant.
I had forgotten how this film was nice. A love story of a son towards his mother. A son who hides from his ill, fervent socialist mother, the fall of the Wall of Berlin and the reunification of Germany. With the help of his family and with his friends, he recreates around her the decor and the life of the former GDR, of which it was so much very fond.
Entreprise délicate pour un fils qui veut faire revivre un monde qui s’est effondré, quitte à le rendre plus beau qu’il ne l’était. Créer son monde à lui. Un monde où le bloc soviétique aurait gagné la guerre, « pas celle des canons mais celle des idées« .

Touchant. On passe du rire aux larmes. De la gravité à la tendresse. Le film ne tombe jamais dans la caricature et évite le plaidoyer politique pour s’intéresser aux seuls personnages, plus tous attachants les uns que les autres.

Un mot sur la BO de Yann Tiersen. Vous reconnaitrez sans difficulté l’auteur de la BO d’Amélie Poulain. Certaines pistes sont d’ailleurs reprises. Tout simplement magnifique. Ca colle très bien à l’ambiance du film. Je vous le conseille.
A word about the soundtrack of Yann Tiersen. You’ll regognize without difficulty the author of the soundtrack of Amelie. A few tracks are besides taken back. Simply splendid. This sticks very well on the ambience of the film. I recommend it to you.
NB: j’aurais pu blogué la musique de Tiersen, mais cela aurait été un peu facile de reprendre la même bande. j’ai préféré Saint Petersbourg de Saez. C’est aussi facile je vous l’accorde. Mais ca colle bien à l’histoire du film je trouve. Et j’adore Saez.
